Throughout the world, indigenous peoples acknowledge and respect the spiritual teaching and understanding of those who show by example, word and action their level of consciousness, and when a woman is gifted the title ‘Grandmother’ by their tribe, nation or other Elders and Grandmothers, it is indeed a great honour, and is not given lightly, and this tradition has gone on through the Millennia. All Grandmothers carry a ‘presence’ or ‘authority’ and are acknowledged as spiritual teachers and healers.

With so much confusion in the world and our lives, we decided to invite some truly powerful Grandmothers to a gathering to give teachings, healing and insights that should give strength and sustenance to all for their upbringing and cultural heritage has shown and inspired them in so many ways and with their inner wisdom hope to inspire and uplift to all those that attend the conference.

This is not a women-only gathering, for the Grandmothers have had to deal with men! So the teachings are well rounded in all aspects of corporeal and spiritual life! The weekend will involve as much intercommunication as possible, and we plan to break into groups to share in a more personal way. At this time not knowing in how many will be attending it is difficult to predict how the forum will unfold, but be assured, it will be amazing!

In his travels throughout the world, Grandfather Michael has been proud and inspired to meet so many truly spiritual Elders, not because their website says so, but in just meeting and sharing with them, you can see their heart space is full of love and sincerity and the way they conduct themselves and the truth of the words that they speak shows that they truly ‘walk their talk’.

In any circle or gathering it is traditional that women always be honoured and respected and this is why Grandfather Michael has extended a particular invitation to Grandmothers to share their culture, traditions and spiritual belief systems through teachings, ceremonies and song. Each gathering will bring new and uplifting energies, a time to reawaken what has lain dormant.

The term ‘Grandmother’ is an acknowledgement of a woman who has come of age spiritually, the name is usually gifted by other Elders and Grandmothers for like all older women (older just means in a spiritual sense) they have learnt many lessons in life, and through these lessons have evolved their own spirituality and understanding, so thus can interact with those who are awakening their own inner light.

Michael's co-host is Marish, who over the years has evolved her spirituality and understanding of how the practice of Yoga can improve and empower ones life. A fully qualified and certified teacher of the Iyengar method, and accredited British Wheel of Yoga, and Yoga for Pregnancy teacher, she is also accredited to work with the Prison Phoenix Trust.
